Cascais is where the Lisbon coast meets the Atlantic — and it’s also one of the best places in Portugal to go horse riding. Whether you’re visiting for a few days or living in the area, Quinta da Marinha Equestrian Centre is the starting point.

What Riders Say

Cascais consistently delivers: open terrain, gentle trails and enough variety to keep experienced riders engaged while never overwhelming beginners. The Guincho dunes in particular are unlike anywhere else in Europe — the combination of beach, wind and Atlantic horizon makes for a ride that’s hard to forget.

Who It’s For

Tourists visiting Cascais or Lisbon — the school is an easy day-trip. Come in the morning, ride for an hour, have lunch in Cascais town, and be back in Lisbon by afternoon.

Expats and families living in the area — many of our students are international families in Cascais, Estoril and Sintra who come weekly or sign up for monthly lesson plans.

First-timers — no experience is needed for trail rides. Our team handles everything, including helmets and body protectors at no extra cost.
